If you're looking for highly ranked public schools, you're going to be pleased with the information provided in the following links. According to New Jersey Monthly Magazine, 12 of the top 75 New Jersey Public High Schools are located in Morris County, and 1 is located in Sussex County. And while it's easy to get caught up in the magazine's rankings, keep in mind that New Jersey's 300+ public schools are thought to be superior to the average public schools in many states. Thus, please look closely at individual district information and NJ state "report cards" for each district relative to your student's needs. Then plan to visit some schools when you are here on your home buying trip. There are many fine private schools, pre-schools, colleges and universities located here as well. Some are well suited for the academically gifted, while others strive to meet the needs of children in need of a smaller classroom setting where one-on-one attention is routine.
