Celebrate The Season At The 16th Annual Lake Mohawk German Christmas Market In Sparta
Ranked as “One of the Top Ten Things to Do in December in the State”, this market offers 100+ vendors selling beautifully-crafted and unique gifts; delicious food & drink; live entertainment (from folk dancers to carolers to chainsaw wood carving); a pony ride & petting zoo; and, of course, St. Nicholas himself! Booths fill the Lake Mohawk Country Club and authentic wooden vendor huts line the boardwalk in front of beautiful Lake Mohawk.
Entry to the Market is FREE (although the mission is to raise funds for local charities so you’re encouraged to make a donation.) The Market opens to the public on Saturday, December 2nd from 10 am to 9 pm, and Sunday, December 3rd from 10 am to 5 pm. (St. Nicholas appears from noon to 3 pm both days.)
The 18,000+ visitors make parking spaces rare, so Team Nest Builder recommends you take advantage of the FREE Park & Ride service, available from Sparta Middle School, 350 Main St.; Blue Heron Park & Ride, just off Route 15 North, near 60 Blue Heron Rd.; and the Sparta Train Station, 30 Station Road.
Due to the large crowds, pets other than service dogs not allowed. For more information, please call 973 219 5985.
Come share in the holiday cheer in Sparta!
