There are a couple of simple things you can do to keep your home safe during this festive time of the year.

LED lights - are getting prettier and safer every year. Because the lights don't produce a lot of heat like the old Christmas lights, they are also much safer.  Remember to check the cord every year when putting the lights up and taking them down. Replace any strands that are frayed or damaged.

Water the tree - The beautiful Christmas Tree you just spent hours decorating was cut down weeks ago and it's thirsty! Make sure that you have easy access to the tree base and water it daily. Keep an old can or bottle near your coffee maker and water your tree while you wait for your morning cup of Joe! Easy Peasy.
