IF you've recently closed on your new home and you get ANY communication from any entity other than your attorney or lender regarding an additional "document fee" needed to record your deed, DO NOT PAY IT before checking with your closing agent/attorney.    Your closing is a matter of public record and scammers are out to capitalize on you.  Do not pay any "new" fees without researching it with your home selling team first.
